I once heard a Buddhist monk say the following: “God is shorthand for talking about everything all at once” Dairyu Michael Wenger

consider the following:
God sustains us, therefore
God is the air we breath
God is the ocean that brings the rain
God is mountains we find so beautiful
God is valleys where we grow our food.
God is rain that waters our crops
God is sunshine that warms our faces
God is procreation that gives us family
God is death that recycles life
God is lightning that electrifies our cities
God is the unknown (mystery)
God is space in that we don’t know it.
God is molecules which are the foundation of the world
God is flowers to show us beauty
God is sunsets wherein we find romance
God is floods to show us His power
God is flame to warm our bodies
God is intelligence to enlighten our minds
God is stupidity to those who don’t understand
God is language so that we may communicate
God is peace that we hope for
God is war and the domination of our enemies Old Testament style
God is love of our neighbor New Testament style
God is hope for something better than us
God is charity for others in their travails
God is hate of all that is evil and different from us
God is the animals of the ark and creation
God is vegetable of which we receive valuable nutrition
God is human like us
God is our father who gives us wisdom
God is our mother who gives us compassion
Man is god like Him
Woman is god like Her

Or as some guy in Palestine is reported to have asked: “know ye not that ye are Gods?”

God for many is but a metaphor for what they wish for. Those who strive for a strict definition of God, miss the point.
